Opening of spa season

First days of May are a beginning of spa season in Carlsbad and such an event requires celebration. Entire city is going to be filled with life between 5th to 8th of May. The program will take place at the Loket castle, in the city park Smetanovy Sady, near to Narodni dum and at colonnades throughout the whole spa district of Carlsbad. You can recall the unique atmosphere of the whole event in a video about last year opening.

For a couple of days, Carlsbad will turn to a medieval city. Saturday, the main day of the celebrations will start by traditional blessing of springs and continue by afternoon procession lead by founder of the city Karel IV. Fencing fights or medieval costume will create an unique atmosphere.
