Teracotta army
Until the end of March visitors of Karlovy Vary have a unique opportunity to see one of the most amazing human creations of all time - the Terracotta army. Terracotta army was built as part of a tomb of Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang. Its construction had taken 40 years and it involved 700 workers. The army compounds of precise statues of 8000 soldiers, 600 horses and 125 chariots. The warriors who travelled to Karlovy vary are original 2000 years old works of art.
The exposition named Terracotta Army – First emperor legacy takes place at hotel Thermal and offers many accompanying programs: activities for children, film screenings, festival of Chinese culture. You can also take part in a competion and win life-size replica of warrior’s statue.
