Shining Vary

The first light festival in Karlovy Vary happened last year. This years’ magnificent light show will take place in 7 locations: on the walls of the churches, on the colonnade or on the river surface. Modern lighting effects combined with the charm of the historic city create an impressive contrast.

The artists created an unique video art for each site . Some have chosen the way of videomapping and created light projections that emphasize the features of the original architectural monument, others have used the environment on which they project as a stage for their own performance. Worth seeing (and listening to) will certainly be the projection on the Colonnade of the Saddle, which will turn the colonade into an interactive laser harp.
