Christmas markets

If you’re planning to visit Carlsbad before Christmas, you can look forward to the New Christmas markets, taking place on each of the Advent Sundays from the 27th of November. The markets will enable you to taste specialities from local vendors or to simply enjoy the atmosphere of upcoming Christmas. Each Sunday will be accompanied by rich program: performances of famous artists or competitions for children.

For those who would like to enjoy Christmas markets as well as to explore nearby sights, we highly recommend visiting Krušnohorské vánoční trhy, taking place from 10th to 11th of December at the Loket castle. The area of medieval castle will be turned into a fair, where you can watch and try variety of crafts connected to Christmas, such as creating traditional straw decorations. Craftsmen of the region, carvers or lace makers, will be selling their original products. The rich accompanying program will be provided by street theatre, bagpipe band of folk performances.
