Chateau park Ostrov

After a 10 minutes drive from Carlsbad you can stop in Ostrov nad Ohří. The town is well known thanks to a beautiful chateau and its park. The original park from the beginning of 17th century has undergone several reconstructions and the present appearance has rather baroque elements – fountains, ponds, summerhouses and mazes. The park used to be an important and highly estimated place at the times of its flourishing. In the middle of the park there is a summer residence which is a part of Carlsbad Art Gallery and where exhibitions and concerts take place. Czech graphic art collections, some paintings and regional art are permanently stored in the summer residence.
