Imperial Spa

Visit the most sumptuous spa building in Carlsbad. The Imperial Spa was built in the end of the 19th century and it used to work as a luxurious spa house with the best equipment in the region of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. An architectural gem is the Zander´s hall which used to be equipped with exercise machines and later was used as a representative space. All the interior is decorated by interesting sculptures, paintings and woodcarver´s works.

The Imperial Spa was falling into disrepair few years ago. But fortunately in 2010 it was proclaimed a national cultural monument and the reconstruction started straight ahead. Nowadays a museum is located inside and diverse exhibitions connected to Carlsbad region or to spa treatments are held here.
