Design stores in Karlovy Vary
For a typical visitor to Karlovy Vary, it is not easy to find a place to shop. Apart from the shops that are really worth a visit, as in every famous tourist destination you may also find "tourist traps", offering overpriced low-quality products. To help you with the selection, we have prepared a list of designer shops, where you can buy souvenirs made by local artists and designers.
Supermarket WC
The name Supermarket WC does not designate a supermarket selling water closets, but a designer shop that was newly opened in the originally dilapidated public bathroom building. The original purpose of the place is still commemorated by an exhibition of photographs of toilets from around the world. In the shop, you can purchase original goods from Czech fashion designers, unique stationery products or design crockery.
Shop Moser Glassworks
Moser glassworks are worth visiting for their glassworks tour but also for their luxury design glass shop. Moser glassworks are renowned for their long history and respect for tradition as well as for cooperating with gifted Czech designers. Thanks to this, the glassworks shop allows you to purchase crystal glasses made according to original designs from 1895 or original vases by famous contemporary designer Rony Plesl.

Café Gallery at Loket Castle
For our last recommendation, you will have to go a little further. The Cafe Gallery is a small, pleasant cafe with fine coffee and homemade cakes connected to a gallery. After having a look at the current exhibition, you can shop original artworks and handmade ceramic products here. The café is located in a beautiful town near the medieval castle of Loket, which it is definitely worthwhile a visit.
